Shortcut Candy Cane Sugar Cookies

December 3, 2024

At least one of my Cookie Week recipes is a shortcut recipe or fun cookie hack to help you make impressionable cookies in a pinch. For example, my Hot Cocoa Brownie Cookies use boxed brownie mix, my Sugar Plum Fairy Cookies use boxed Jell-O mix, and my Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies use red velvet boxed cake mix. If baking isn’t your thing, or you are short on time, these Shortcut Candy Cane Sugar Cookies use a packaged sugar cookie mix and all you have to do is dress them up and add a little extra magic!

In addition to the sugar cookie mix and you will need peppermint bits for baking (or crushed candy canes), frosting and candy cane cookie cutters. With these few things, you can transform an ordinary sugar cookie, into an entirely new flavor with a festive look.
