Emerson’s Christmas 2021 Playroom
If you know me, you know I am big on traditions, especially during the holidays.
With a child, the holidays are more magical than I ever could have imagined, and I LOVE experiencing the holidays through Emerson’s eyes. It makes my Mama heart so happy to continue and establish holiday traditions with my family.
Jared and I love to create extra holiday magic in Emerson’s playroom for each holiday and occasion. She lights up each time we decorate! Here are a few things we did to bring Christmas magic to Emerson’s playroom:
Christmas Play Kitchen
For Emerson’s 1st birthday in May we put together a playroom for her and part of her gift was her play kitchen. She plays with it EVERY SINGLE DAY!
Halloween was the first time I decorated the play kitchen and I knew I wanted to do a little something for Christmas as well. Since they playroom gets trashed each and every day, I kept it simple and she loves using it to “bake cookies for Santa”!

Christmas Book Nook
As always, I set up a book nook full of seasonal books for Emerson. I look forward to putting this together each holiday for her. It has been a fun way for her to learn about different seasons and holidays that are relevant at that time.
25 Books of Christmas Advent Calendar
This Christmas, we did the 25 Books of Christmas where each day from December 1st-25th, Emerson gets to open a new book to countdown to Christmas. She absolutely loves reading books and they have been a great resource for learning new words, so we wanted to do something special for our little bookworm and we have had a blast watching her open a new book each day.
We did gift her some Christmas and Winter books, but most of the books are everyday books for us to read throughout the year.
We also wanted to take this opportunity to teach Emerson patience by only opening one book per day and she surprising only wants to open one each day! Over all it has been a fun experience that I hope we can continue each year!
