This is year 4 of my annual cookie week to kick of the holiday baking season and I am so excited to share 7 all new recipes that I have developed! I have a theme for this year’s lineup and that is Classic Christmas.
To me, Classic Christmas means familiar flavors, red & green hues and festive shapes. I wanted to take my classic cookie recipes and tweak them a bit to make them still feel homey, but with a fresh take. Meaning, these recipes are what you would expect from a Christmas cookie but offer my interpretation on some of the classics. After doing this for a few years, I had to dig deep to find the inspiration to create new recipes that I haven’t already done in the past, but I feel very proud of what I came up with. These cookies will include seasonal spices and ingredients + easy to find ingredients for you to make and enjoy with your family and friends.
Cookie Week 2024 – Day 1
Maple Snickerdoodles – An extra sweet twist on a classic Snickerdoodle!
Each year I try to include some type of Snickerdoodle recipe in my cookie week lineup. I’ve done Cardamom Snickerdoodles and my personal favorite Gingerdoodles. I am honestly shocked it took me this long to create maple based recipe with how much I love maple flavored everything!
These Maple Snickerdoodles can pass as a Christmas cookie and also a cozy fall cookie to serve during Thanksgiving and your fall baking days. Maple has such a beautiful, sweet flavor that brings all the cozy vibes!
