Olympics Books for Kids

July 18, 2024

We are only 8 days away from the start of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games! Eeeeek!!!

Before we dive into the Olympics Books for Kids, there’s something you need to know about me..

The Olympics are one of my biggest obsessions (if not THE biggest obsession)! It all started when I was 5 years old. When the 1996 Olympic Games were in our own backyard of Atlanta, Georgia, my family and I were lucky enough to attend several events. Even as a 5 year old, I still have many memories all these years later, and that is where my love for all things Olympics began. Over the years, I got to skate/perform/compete in Lake Placid as a figure skater, visit the Olympic Training Center (while athletes were training!) in Colorado Springs, consume everything Winter and Summer Olympics every 2 years and beyond.

The Olympics mesh together two things that I love so, so much. Sports and Geography. I am not passing down my obsession and knowledge to my kids in the hopes that they too can one day experience the spirit of the Olympic Games. As of now, we are planning to attend the 2028 Olympics in LA!

I have a lot of fun Olympic themed crafts and activities planned for the kids (mostly for Emerson since she is 4), but her interest always begins with books. They are my go-to learning tool for both of the kids. I have spent the last few months collecting Olympic books for kids and added in some sports books we already owned.

Below all books are linked via LTK.
