Patriotic Vanilla Cupcakes

Who doesn’t love a classic vanilla cupcake?! 4th of July and other patriotic content is some of my favorite to create and these cupcakes are a simple way to add some red, white and blue to your summer BBQ’s, 4th of July parties and celebrations.
If baking isn’t your thing, then you can easily dress up box cake mix cupcakes with berries and/or a flag pick. If you want my fluffy vanilla cupcake recipe, then scroll to the bottom for the full recipe. I completey blanked on getting cream cheese at the store, so here I used a store-bought cream cheese frosting that works just as well!

Summertime is also berry season which makes these cupcakes that much more enjoyable. I used blueberries, strawberries and raspberries, but feel free to use any combination you desire to acheive the red, white and blue colors.
Berries, vanilla, and cream cheese frosting is just a winning combo that brings sweet memories of childhood summers and that inspired me to make and share this with my own children.

My daughter just has a red, white and blue themed birthday party last month and we had these leftover American flag food toppers that were a fun addition to these already patriotic cupcakes!
