DIY Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Tablescape

#OTCPartner | My absolute favorite holiday tradition is waking up on Thanksgiving morning to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade on tv during breakfast. My kids are at fun ages to enjoy the tradition and with the help of Oriental Trading, I was able to DIY a fun tablescape of NYC with character balloons for them to enjoy during the parade this year!

The parade, the dog show, football, the food, the family time.. Thanksgiving Day is full of so many traditions cherished by many. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is so magical and fun. It kicks off Thanksgiving Day and also signifies the start of Christmas once the big jolly guy rides through town. To bring even more magic to a special event, I DIYed some cardboard boxes to make a cityscape and added some character foil balloons to make the parade balloons flying high over the buildings.

Here’s what you need:
Cardboard boxes (finally use for all those Amazon boxes!)
White Bulletin Board Paper
Paint + Paint Brushes
Character Balloons
And anything else you need to complete your breakfast set up
Another fun and easy detail to go with the paper box taxis, is white tape to make the black table cloth appear to be a road!

Most of what you see is from Oriental Trading. The paper wrapping to cover the boxes, the paint for the colorful buildings, the cute little taxi boxes, the paper goods.. all from OTC! Here is the link to shop my supplies: DIY Thanksgiving Parade Supplies

And these adorable Pumpkin Pie sippers from Packed Party make the cutest addition to kids tables for Thanksgiving dinner or a fun Friendsgiving gathering! Here is the link to shop these and other holiday sipper sets: Pumpkin Pie Sippers

Wishing everyone a very happy Thanksgiving and safe holiday season!
